An innovative jogging stroller design ushers Graco into the performance-based baby gear market.

Graco’s baby gear is reknowned for its safety, plush baby comfort, and parent conveniences. However, a different approach was required when the company entered the performance jogging stroller category.

Our strategy was to provide the safety and convenience features that Graco is known for without sacrificing the performance of a jogging stroller. Our design features lightweight construction, a long wheelbase, front wheel tracking, and premium suspension, all essential for avid joggers. But it also conveniences like a one-handed folding mechanism that collapses the stroller in one quick second to fit in a trunk – no small feat considering the suspension and brake system.

To uphold Graco’s emphasis on safety, we developed a system to accept their respected Click Connect™ rear-facing Car Seat. This provides head support for infants, and gives parents a direct line-of-sight to the baby while running.

Simultaneously, we worked to define a more athletic-oriented branch of Graco’s Visual Design Language to be applied to Relay and other performance-based products.
