A bold design statement intended to generate industry buzz.

Charbroil and Creature collaborated to design a bold new grill to showcase Charbroil’s patented THIN infrared technology, and generate industry buzz and excitement around the company’s re-entry into the European market. We worked with Charbroil to create an ultra-clean cantilevered design that is strikingly open and airy.

The infrared technology eliminates hot/cold spots, prevents flare-ups, and uses less fuel. We worked with Charbroil to draw attention to the new technology through an asymmetrical format with a strongly cantilevered main surface. The digital electronic temperature gauges are unique in this market, providing an accurate temperature reading at the grate level.

The grill won Charbroil plenty of attention: it was a 2014 IDEA Award finalist, and won First Place in the European 2013 International Barbeque Awards, a prestigious 2014 Red Dot Award, and a 2014 Good Design Award.
