A ruggedized jobsite radio designed to withstand the abuse dished out on construction sites.

We teamed up with Techtronic Industries’ CCI design team to create Ridgid’s first professional jobsite radio that can be powered by the Ridgid tool battery system. The rugged design suspends the electronics on shock-absorbing mounts within a protective tubing frame. It can be thrown in the back of a truck or van, and it’s flat-top frame design allows other tool cases to be stacked on top of it.

User research led us to insights that make jobsite life a little easier: a top tray where workers can stash their keys or phone, and a top-mounted cord wrap so users can wind up the cord with one hand without having to tip the radio forward with the other hand.. The radio’s design was well-received in the marketplace, enjoyed a particularly long life at retail, and helped strengthen the Ridgid brand identity.
