The challenge: design a line of Oster toaster ovens that achieve maximum differentiation for Jarden’s retailers without sacrificing the Oster brand identity. Our solution: a flexible form language based on glass-to-face ratios, handle coverage, form vocabulary, material use, and brand treatment. The Oster ovens communicate
premium performance through restrained use of curvature and building on basic geometries. The result: Jarden is enjoying higher profit margins and has won new placement at retailers throughout the US, including Target, Costco, and Kohl’s.
