A fresh solution for home cooks to transport and serve their favorite dishes away from home.

Medport, LLC wanted to identify new opportunity areas for its Fit & Fresh food storage container line, and recognized a growing entertaining trend of casual gatherings like potlucks, backyard parties, and tailgate parties.

Research revealed user frustration around transporting food without spills, and concerns about food freshness and safety while food sat for hours at events. Ideation sessions, and iterative sketching and prototyping allowed us to develop meaningful solutions to address these pain points. We created a new system of insulated carriers with performance-grade insulation, keeping the food hot (or cold) even while it is being served on the table. Sealed lids prevent spills in the car, maintain temperature at the table, and allow full view of the contents while keeping bugs out.

The product line enabled Fit & Fresh to enter new retail channels, won a 2015 Good Design Award, and was a 2015 IDEA (Industrial Design Excellence Award) Finalist.
